The Neely Mill was on the corner of Blackburn and Charlotte streets, just off North Congress.
The Yorkville Enquirer reported on March 31, 1905 – “Work on the mill building of the Neely Manufacturing Co., seems to progress steadily.”
The RH Record reported on June 3, 1907 – “The Neely Man. Co. of Yorkville is planning to add 2500 spindles to their current total of 3,500.”
The Rock Hill Record reported on Aug. 17, 1908 – “A fire broke out in the transformer house of the Neely Mill in Yorkville on Sunday afternoon, causing several thousand dollars in damage. The fire was probably caused by lightening.”
The RH Record reported on Sept. 28, 1908 – “Mr. J.B. Pegram of Yorkville who along with Mr. W.B. Moore bought a controlling interest in the Neely Yarn Mill about two years ago, has sold his interest to Mr. Moore because of impaired health.”
