City Directories and History: The L.A. Harris home…
The Rock Hill Herald reported on Sept. 10, 1885 – “Mr. A.A. Bradford, a popular contractor, is erecting for himself a neat little cottage on Booth Street.”
The Fort Mill Times reported on Sept. 23 1908 – “Contractor A.A. Bradford will in a few days begin the work of remodeling and enlarging the residence of Mr. L.A. Harris, on White Street.”
The Fort Mill Times reported on June 24, 1909 – “Mr. L.A. Harris has completed plans for the remodeling and enlargement of his home on White Street.”
The Fort Mill Times on Aug. 25, 1910 contained an ad for a new meat market, L.A. Harris and Company.
The Fort Mill Times contained an ad on Dec. 8, 1910 – “The L.A. Harris and Co., has added a meat market to its general business store.”
