City Directories and History: The Yorkville Enquirer on Sept. 2, 1869 contained an ad announcing a new partnership under the name London and Jones for a general commission and grocery business in Rock Hill. The partners are John R. London, Iredell Jones and Allen Jones.
The Yorkville Enquirer reported on June 29, 1871 – “London and Jones of Rock Hill has been appointed agents for the S.C. Land and Immigration Society for York County. They have appointed Capt. T.S. Jeffreys at the Savings Bank in Yorkville as a sub agent.”
