The Rock Hill Herald reported on Jan. 26, 1916 – “W.B. Kerr, who lives near Guthriesville, and Will Harshaw of York have bought J.W. Crawford’s gin, saw mill, and drygoods and grocery store at McConnellsville. Mr. Kerr and family will occupy the old Moore home until they build.”
