City Directories and History: Mrs. George P. White, or Ann H. White, saved thousands of receipts and account records during her life. Many of these are available for display on Roots and Recall and maybe found under hundreds of names, occupations, events, and categories related to their farm, family and home.
It appears that George P. White was borrowing heavily in the early 1840’s from numerous individuals including his father-in-law David Hutchison. This could well have been funds to build their permanent house and furnish it. R&R
