Ann H. White procured fabric from the newly created Roddey Company in downtown Rock Hill, S.C. – 1855
City Directories and History: Ann H. White, the widow of George P. White, and the mother of his four children, was required by law to report annually on her expenditures for herself, farm, and family. This report is for the year 1856 and lists vendors she paid during the year. Many of the annual receipts were bundled and tied with string to be discovered decades later by White family members in the attic. These are the Estate papers for her husband George P. White.
