The Herald reported on June 8, 1925 -“That fire destroyed three homes near the end of Main Street, two were owned by J.W. White and one by Mr. Plair. White’s homes were occupied by Mary Wilkes and Jackson Dunlap. Mr. Plairs house was occupied by Rev. Edwards. “
