The Rock Hill Herald reported on June 30, 1887 – “Dr. J.B. Patrick has contracted with Mr. W.G. Adams for the erection of a six room dwelling on the lot immediately west of the residence of Mr. W.G. Reid. Work will commence in a few weeks.” Later the Herald on Aug. 18th reported – “Foundations have been laid on the West End for the residences of Dr. J.B. Patrick and Mr. J.E. Miller.”
The Herald reported on Oct. 6, 1887 – “The home of Mr. J.E. Miller in the west end is nearing completion.” It also reported – “The residence of Dr. Patrick is also nearing completion. It will be one of the most comfortable and convenient in town.”
