The Yorkville Enquirer reported on Feb. 3, 1892 – “J.J. Hull and W.A. Fewell will move into their new homes at Oakland next week. Mr. J. E. Parker will move into the house vacated by the Hulls.”
The YV Enquirer reported on April 6, 1892 – “The editor has received a letter from Olde Point, better known as Ebenezer. There is only one empty house in the village which has recently been vacated by Mr. W.A. Fewell, who has moved to Rock Hill.”
The Rock Hill Herald of July 15, 1899 – “Reported on the construction of a residence for Mrs. Jessie Fewell on Oakland Ave., at a cost of $2,000.”
The Herald reported on Dec. 13, 1899 – “The W.A. Fewell family have moved into their new home. The Hall family will move into their old home and the J.H. McFadden will move into the Hall house.”
The Herald reported on Jan. 15, 1902 – “The roof of the cook room attached to the cottage occupied by Mrs. R.T. Hall in Oakland caught fire. The fire burned brightly and Mr. W.A. Fewell and others discovered and put it out.”
The RH Record reported on Nov. 9, 1908 – “Mrs. R.C. McLaughlin (Jessie) and son, who have been living in Charlotte are now making their home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Fewell on Oakland Avenue.”
