This location was most likely one of the small commercial shops up against West Main Street, just west of the Holler home or Anderson Hotel.
The Yorkville Enquirer of March 1, 1921 – “The Rock Hill Chamber of Commerce is looking for places to house jurors and witnesses for the spring term of the U.S. Dist. Court. There is a scarcity of hotel rooms but an attempt will be made to obtain the Anderson Hotel for the use of court attendants. It has about sixty rooms.”
The YV Enquirer also stated on Aug. 30, 1921 – “W.F. Hall, manager of the Anderson Hotel was charged with keeping a disorderly house. He was acquitted of that charge but was convicted of disorderly conduct. Several men and women were caught in the hotel. During the hearing of this case several young men left town.”
