City Directories and History: 1908 – John B. Williams (Louse), Salesman for Kuykendall Co., 1917 – W.P. Moffett, 1922/23 – Mrs. Bennie McCorkle, 1938 – Robert A. Blanks, 1963 – NA
The RH Record reported on June 1, 1908 – “A fire occurred at the home occupied by Mr. John Williams and owned by Col. W. J. Rawlinson on East Black Street. The fire was due to a defective flue in the kitchen.”
The Rock Hill Record of March 29, 1909 – “Mr. John B. Williams is having a cottage built on State Street in Woodland Park. This is the highest elevation in the park.”
This home was constructed by Mr. Rawlinson for John B. Williams and his wife Louse by Rock Hill contractor, Mr. Julian S. Starr.
The McElwee Store ledger stated that W.G. Duncan and his wife Dargin, Clerk at RH Supply Co., held an account at the store in ca. 1915.
