City Directories and History: 1958 – Dr. John M. Pratt, Crest 5-10 Store, 1966 – Dr. John M. Pratt, (#24 – same location) 1958 – White Rose Cafe
After serving as Dr. Rufus Bratton’s medical office, this building was the location of the White Rose Cafe. Its architecture features crenelated stucco over bricks which were handmade from local clay and fired at different temperatures often making for unstable brickwork. The interior wood ceilings are of a style unique to York.
