City Directories and History: The Crawford Road listing of residences in 1908. It is important to recognize the numbers associated with these properties have changed repeatedly over the past century. Crawford Road was names for Dr. Tom Crawford who lived on Hampton Street and served for many years as an advocate of extending utilities into the African American neighborhoods.
