City Directories and History: Built by local carpenter, Walter Beamguard in circa 1916, this simple I-house combined features from older 19th century homes with some of the early 20th century forms Mr. Beamguard was using during that period. Several older outbuilding remain on the farm.
Mr. W.T. Beamguard was a carpenter-contractor who also constructed the original Clover Presbyterian church building on Kings Mountain street in downtown Clover, SC. The Walker Post Map of 1910 does not show a road located where Beamguard road now exist. However, in that vicinity was one R.T. Beamguard.
