The Yorkville Enquirer reported on Jan. 21, 1891 – “The firm of Joseph A. Walker and Co., has been dissolved.” However, note that in 1908 it remains in business.
The handsome brick facade of the Marion building dates to circa 1897 and extends around the corner to Gadsden street.
