The RH Herald reported on Nov. 11, 1899 – “Ms. Pearl Fewell is now teaching school at Jacksonham in Lancaster County.”
The Rock Hill Herald reported on Jan. 22, 1902 – “That the old home of Henry N. Clyburn, in the Waxhaws, occupied by Henry Clyburn, Jr., was burned Monday morning. This old building was at one time known as Cureton’s Store. It stood near the old Cureton home and after the burning of that building several years ago, the store house was remodeled and converted into a residence.”
*** Historian, Harvey S. Teal’s S.C. Post Office History, 1989 states: the “Butler Post Office was operated by Postmaster, Mr. Thomas L. Clyburn from 1853 through the Civil War.”
