“Abundance quail and good kennels for dogs…” Cunningham Hotel
The Rock Hill Herald reported on July 12, 1888 – “On the Dunlap corner near the Courthouse, Mr. T.K. Cunningham has broken ground for a large two story brick building it will have a frontage of 50 ft on Main Street and 70 ft on Dunlap Street. It will have two storerooms on the ground floor.”
City Directories and History: Originally constructed as the Cunningham Home Hotel in about 1890, replacing the Dunlap Hotel. Dr. I. D. Pittman, later operated also operated a hospital at this location.
