City Directories and History: Built in circa 1850 by the Rev. J.W. Erwin and much of the original home remains intact. In 1981 during the historic survey of Fairfield County, this home was recorded as the Robert Alexander Patrick home commonly referred to as the Robert E. Patrick home. The family had moved from York County,
S.C. just after the Civil War and started a store and farming. T.G. Patrick maintained the store, R.A. Patrick the farm. R.A. Patrick married Mary A. Blair firs in 1868 and later in 1895 Mary Rowe.
