City Directories and History: Built in the 1920’s by Mr. and Mrs. J. Shaw Ketchin. The Ketchins lived their lives here and reared two daughters, Mary Jane and Ansley. Mr. Ketchin ran a mercantile and hardware business on Congress Street and was a master carpenter. He built many early twentieth century homes in Winnsboro and remodeled many more.
