Winnsboro City Directories and History: 1961 – Cut-Rate Furniture Company
Constructed in circa 1918, this building was called the Oak Stove and was the location at one time of the Western Auto store. Primarily the home of the Douglas family businesses for over forty years. Cut-Rate furniture was Mr. James Douglas’ business for many years. His son Morris later ran the Oak Stove venture then later the Douglas Family Shoe Store in this building.
