City Directories and History: This home is an excellent example of the National style of architecture. Built in 1907 by Rufus Cooksey, a ticket agent at the railroad depot, the home remains in the Cooksey family today. Cooksey’s wife would live to be one of the oldest ladies in the history of Blacksburg, passing away at the age of 101.
