The Rock Hill Herald reported on June 2, 1887 – “Ira D. Hardin is building a dwelling on the lot previously occupied by the home of A.B. Stephens, which burned.”
City Directories and History: On Oct. 30, 1889 the Yorkville Enquirer reported – “Ira Hardin has sold his home on Carolina Street to Mr. D.L. Broom and will build himself a brick dwelling on the adjoining lot.”
The Yorkville Enquirer reported on June 18, 1890 – “Engineer C.R. Kingsley is making good progress in making a map of Blacksburg. Mr. Hay of Camden, and engineer, is busily engaged in the fieldwork, assisted by Mr. Ira Hardin of Blacksburg.”
