George Valentine Hennies – In the 1870s he learned the photo business by working with W.P. Hix of Columbia. Shortly before 1880, he became a partner with Hix. By 1883 he was operating as a photographer at #124.5 Richardson Street, the former location of the Hix Studio. About 1888 Hennies moved his studio to the Main Street address.
