The Yorkville Enquirer of March 15, 1893 reported – “that Mr. H.F. Elliott, contractor from the firm of Elliott and Elliott of Hickory, N.C. has just finished the new passenger depot in Union. It is 47″ long and 17″ wide. The old depot was destroyed on Jan. 14, 1893. ”
