City Directories and History: The historic ca. 1852 home of the Meador’s family.
“This house has been the home of the Meador family for over a century. The original building was built by Austin Wilson in 1852. After several years it became the property of Dr. John Meador. In 1929 the property was acquired by Douglas Meador who has restored the house and gardens. The house was designed in typical antebellum architecture and this characteristic has been carried out in all the new architectural details.” Information from: Names in South Carolina by C.H.
