City Directories and History: 1954 – Edward J. Arthur (E.J. Arthur), 1984 – Robert M. Cody
This structure appears to be #125 on the accompanying 1917 Sanborn Insurance Maps of Union, S.C. It is unclear as to who originally constructed this circa 1880’s home. Both J.H. Rodgers as well as Dick Morgan are potentially the first but it was later acquired by Edward J. “Ned” Arthur about 1920.
On July 3, 1889 the Yorkville Enquirer reported – “Mr. James H. Rodgers will soon open a brick and tile factory at Union, S.C.”
