Post Offices via Elmer Parker’s S.C. Post Office History Book, 1989 states: the Mount Pleasant PO ran from 1854 / the Civil War, Manoah McPherson – Postmaster. Also, Raiborn’s Creek Post Office was operated by Benj. F. Cleveland served as PO from 1832 – 1846. Changed to Bluff Rabun PO, from 1849 / 1853 operated by J.L. Hopkins – Postmaster.
