City Directories and History: 1917 – A.C. Todd, 1948 – Clement T. Latimer (Cotton Broker), 1975 – Daniel H. Keitt
Constructed about 1910 as the economic boom of the 1910’s and 20’s took hold of the community, this is one of the fine older homes along West Main Street which retains its original architectural character.
Built in 1910 for Albert Creswell Todd, this house has elements of the Craftsman influence of architecture. It contains six original coal fireplaces with imported tiles and detailed mantles. Mr. Todd was an influential Laurens lawyer who served on the Board of Education, was Chairman of the Board of the University of South Carolina, board member of Presbyterian College, and attorney for the Southern Railroad.
