City Directories and History: This building was listed as #115 in 1922 being used as a drug store. Known as Young’s Pharmacy this building is one of Clinton’s older commercial sites built in circa 1875. This was a section of a three facade building, the only one of the three that was not heavily remodeled following a downtown fire. It was featured in the 1930 photograph book, “Wide-Awake Clinton.”
Note the postcard view of this location in the early 20th century shows the facade of this building and it appears via the Sanborn Map it was used as an early drug store in downtown Clinton.
