City Directories and History: This building listed as #414 and 414.5 were used as a large dry goods department store in 1922. Listed as the Copeland-Stone building by the survey team in 1984 of historic resources in Laurens County. In the 1940’s these two separate building were converted into a single commercial facade, totally altering the original 1891-92 look of the facade.
