City Directories and History: Gurganus – Collins-Wilson House – Built 1864
“This house is located on land that at one time was part of the Gurganus Plantation. Mr. B. G. Collins purchased it in 1870. Miss Mitchelle Collins, for whom the riverboat “Mitchelle C.”, was named, lived here for many years. Dr. and Mrs. D. M. Wilson restored it in 1998.”
