305 West Main Street
City Directories and History: Established in ca. 1831 and the current building constructed in 1905.
This large brick Gothic Revival church was reportedly designed by the same architect who planned 306 West Main Street. It was built in 1905. The building has a cross plan with a tall tower and spire located at the northwest angle of the cross. The main entrance is at the base of the tower. The lancet windows feature stained glass. Brick buttresses are located at the corners of the tower as well as the corners of the main body of the church. An educational building to the rear of the property was built in 1965; it is two stories, of brick. (SC Dept. of Archives)
