The Manning Times of March 3, 1886 contained an ad – “McGahan, Bates and Co., located at 226, 228 and 230 Meeting Street – Jobbers for dry goods, notations and clothing.”
City Directories and History: The Charleston company, Johnston-Crews, sold bloomers to the Patrick Store at Woodward in Fairfield County in 1928. They were returned for a credit shortly!
