City Directories and History: 1925 – NA, 1941 – Lottie Ellerbee, 1964 – Thelma L. Boykin
This building first appears on the 1930 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map of Camden. Architectural
evidence, based on comparisons with buildings of similar design, indicates that it was constructed about 1930. The first documented resident, in 1925, was Charlotte Milton, an employee of the Southern Cotton Oil Company. Toward the end of the historic period in 1941, the building was occupied by Thelma Boykin, a janitor at City Hall. [Camden Archives and Museum]
