Constructed in circa 1830 by local artisan Alexander Young the house had extensive acreage and outbuildings. William Young, a descendant of the original builder expanded the home in 1911. He was a partner in the Malone, Pierce, Young Hardware Company. Just before WWII, a clerk for Eichel’s Department Store, Sue Young acquired the home.
