City Directories and History: When the children of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Koger Fairey had reached the age where they needed to attend high school, the family moved from Creston to St. Matthews and moved into this home in about 1908. There three children were: Philip Washington Fairey of St. Matthews, Joseph K. Fairey of Bamberg, and a daughter who lived only a short time, Annie Florie Fairey.
The Edisto Medical Association tribute to Dr. Fairey, this page, tells of his years of service in Creston and Saint Matthews, S.C., a career of over fifty years of service to his fellow citizen.
See links to P.W. Fairey and Fairey Motor Co., this page. His brother, Jos.
