City Directories and History: The Fort Mill Times of Feb. 17, 1910 reported – “Julian S. Starr the architect of Rock Hill has prepared plans for the remodeling of the residence of V.B. Blankenship on Booth St., and work will begin in the spring. The residence will be enlarged by the addition of several rooms and Mr. Blankenship plans to spend about $2,000. on the improvements.”
