The Herald reported on Sept. 11, 1884 – “The India Hook church (Methodist) congregation took an offering to have improvements made to the building. Capt. James Hutchison pushed this project forward. The Pastor is Rev. J.B. Traywick.”
City Directories and History: The old Alfred Cline Hutchison home on India Hook Road….. it is however unclear and uncertain to R&R.com, just how these Hutchisons are related and connected to this specific parcel (shown this page). It is established that Samuel Hutchison, the father of Alfred, lived close enough to Ebenezer to be a client of the Fewell Store. He is listed in their store journal. See attachment this page.
Alfred C. Hutchison, along with many early members of the extended Hutchison family are also buried at the Ebenezer Pres. Church Cemetery.
