The Yorkville Enquirer reported on March 23, 1876 – “Mr. Daniel Kerr, for many years a resident of Yorkville, died at Rock Hill on Thursday last, the 16th, in the 82 year of his age.”
City Directories and History: R&R makes every reasonable attempt to link names on historic documents with specific events and individuals to facilitate easily locating that information. In many cases with extensive history documents/collections, such as the Hutchison and White families there are duplicate pages to record data in a manner to assist R&R’s audience.
The settlement of David Hutchison’s vast estate in 1846 provides that opportunity to extract names associated with local history.

Please enjoy this structure and all those listed in Roots and Recall. But remember each is private property. So view them from a distance or from a public area such as the sidewalk or public road.
Do you have information to share and preserve? Family, school, church, or other older photos and stories are welcome. Send them digitally through the “Share Your Story” link, so they too might be posted on Roots and Recall.
