City Directories and History: The Dinkins Student Center was constructed after WTS was dismantled by the Winthrop College President Charles S. Davis who wanted to modernize all of the campus. Eliminating the historic school program for the training of students allowed access to both the athletic field property and the grounds in front of WTS for development.
