City Directories and History: This home has been associated and owned by the Spencer family for many years.

The Rock Hill Herald reported on June 24, 1899 – “The law firm of Witherspoon and Spencer of Yorkville have opened an office in Rock Hill.  Mr. C.W.F. Spencer will be incharge of the Rock Hill office, which is in the new Roddey Building.”
