The Record reported on April 21, 1927 – “Tom Huey was chosen the President of the S.C. Auto Dealers Association recently in Columbia.”
From The Rock Hill Herald, July 22, 1955: Tom W. Huey, age 65, died yesterday. He moved to Rock Hill with his parents in 1896. He married Hazel Thompson from Richmond VA, who was teaching at Winthrop. Mr. Huey ran the oldest Buick and Chevrolet dealership in the Carolinas, active since 1924. He was active in the civic life of Rock Hill, serving as President of the Rock Hill Chiefs minor league baseball team, President of the York County Fair Association, and other offices.
