City Directories and History: 1958 – Rev. Edward B. Harris, 1966 – John V. Blanton, 2014 – Charles Bradford (Cynthia)
I found the following in the Rock Hill Herald from December 20, 1888: “Mr. D. A. Watson of Clay Hill has moved to Yorkville and is preparing to erect a cottage on College Street.” *** Local historian / Mayor, Eddie Lee believes this article relates to this address on College Street.
Thought to have been constructed by John R. Ashe in circa 1890, restored by Jeannie Ferguson in 1986 and became the residence of Charles and Cindy Bradford who remain in the home in 2014.
*** Note the Sanborn Map from 1910 list this address as #308 College Street. And it shows the house next to the street, at some point it was moved further back on the lot.
