City Directories and History: The Sam Blair home was constructed of fine and durable materials that have allowed it to remain a viable and highly desirable home even in 2012. The original home had a balustrade of the roof and many fine architectural features both on the exterior as well and interior. Besides the house itself, this fine late 19th century farm included barns and outbuildings which make this a highly interesting site.
It is believed the original house on this site, incorporated into the present structure, was a small one room house with a small kitchen addition. These areas of the house can be identified by the lower ceiling height. Mr. San Blair was the son of Samuel Blair who lived just south of this dwelling.
Tenants at the house included Aunt Gert and Uncle Al who in the 1960’s moved to 1200 Blanton Road.
