The old Dry Branch school once sat on the north side of Canupp Road, about one-quarter of a mile off the north entrance to Canupp Road off Highway #49. This was a rural school for local African American children in the 20th century. The school may be the unidentified dot on the postal map not far from the church marked at the bottom of the map.
Please enjoy this structure and all those listed in Roots and Recall. But remember each is private property. So view them from a distance or from a public area such as the sidewalk or public road.
