The Sharon Grove school for African Americans originally was built here in the early 1920’s. It was later replaced in 1955 by a more modern brick building, part of the one remaining. In the mid 1960’s a wing was added to the original school and all students from the old high school were bused to this location. The building is now used for the Sharon Community Center, the Museum of Western York County, and the Little Academy Day Care Center.
