City Directories and History: 1936 – Williams C. Hutchison, 1963 – Wm. C. Hutchison
The diary of Kate J. Hutchison states that in 1935, the home was built by Ben Pursley at a cost of $800. Mrs. Kate lived on the corner of Johnston and Hampton, the new house was constructed in the rear yard of her “big” house. In 2015, the Hutchison home was vacated via an estate auction and will be sold.
The diary also states their garage was built in the fall of 1935.
