One source states Dr. L.S. Hay lived in Rock Hill and practiced from ca. 1910 – 1914, and then joined the military, dying in the coast.
C. Otis Patton was interviewed on April, 5, 1990 by Paul M. Gettys, “He said the house on Marion street was constructed by Dr. Hay, it was owned by the Anderson Family and was purchased by the Pattons in 1921. At that time Marion Street was unpaved. The Patton family lived in the house until Mrs. Patton’s death in the 1980’s.”
C.O. Patton was the long-term cashier of the Equitable Assurance Corporation of Rock Hill.
