The Rock Hill Herald reported on Jan. 29, 1916 – “The L.F. Waldrop Co., has received the contract for installing the heating in the Latta Store Building in Charlotte.” Later on Feb. 17 the Herald contained an ad for: “Thomas K. Nicholson, let me do your electrical work. My shop and office located in the building with L.F. Waldrop and Company.”
The RH Herald reported on March 18, 1916 – “T.K. Nicholson has been awarded contracts for electrical work on three residences. The first is Capt. J.R. Barxtell on Caldwell St., which is being rebuilt. Secondly is the new house which H.B. Powell will have erected at the corner of Johnston and Saluda Streets. And the third is the W.M. Mitchell home on West Main Street which will be rebuilt.”
The RH Herald reported on March 22, 1916 – “L.F. Waldrop has returned from Greenwood, where he was awarded the contract for heating the new high school building to be erected there.” Later on March 24th the Herald reported – “Tom Nicholson returned from Great Falls where he has the contract for wiring a number of houses.”
The RH Herald also stated on March 25, 1916 – “The L.F. Waldrop Co., has secured the contract to install a heating plant in the large dorm of the negro college at Irmo, near Columbia. It will cost $2,000.”

Waldrop Supply Company was a long-term Rock Hill business establishment providing heating, electrical and plumbing supplies to both businesses and individuals. This facility later became the original home of CN2 Cable Television.
The Record reported on April 11, 1927 – “The Walton Engineering Company has been purchased by L.F. Waldrop Heating and Plumbing Company. The officers are: L.F. Waldrop – Pres and Treasurer, F.M. Gay – V.P. and D.G. Gay – Secretary.
