This building was demolished in circa 1992.
The Herald reported May 19, 1931 – “The Partlow Radio Shop is moving today to this location on Hampton Street, several doors down from its former location. Also moving is McMurray Radio Service which shared the former location.”
The Herald reported on May 1, 1940 – “Hanney’s Food Store a new grocery and meat market will open at #124 Hampton Street in the building formerly occupied by the Hampton Street Market. B.C. Hanney is the owner and will be moving here from Charlotte, and Paul D. Faris is a member of the staff.”
